Feminism is rare

"Your vulgar looks vomit manliness
You call it pride
We
A cop-out"
('don't touch me' in Spanish)

I captured this image on a wall in Metaxourgeio near Anoixis Theatre. It is indeed an extremely rare example of feminist expression in this city... I for one have never seen any other, at least not written on the walls like anarchic, political, social or any other expression spray-painters and graffiti artists seem so keen to express. Why? It may be a strong statement, an aggressive statement, a comment on the urban message-board that from the mere use of words in its message reveals pain and rage, but it is a feminist expression nonetheless. If anyone has seen more of these, especially in different forms, please send them in!

Where did they go? Why did they 'abandon' their own kind, their own struggle to be chiefly defined by their being human rather than female?
